PROJECT: U-AGREE
EU PROGRAMME : HORIZON-SESAR-2023-DES-ER-02
DURATION: 30 months | September 2024 – February 2027 |
STATUS: on going
CONTACTS: marco.ducci@eurousc-italia.it
U-AGREE aims to develop an integrated risk model for UAS operations to prevent negative effects they may have with regard safety, security, privacy and environment. This risk model is intended to support the airspace risk assessments required by U-space European regulation leading to swifter operational approval processes.
U-AGREE aims to identify realistic UAS operational scenarios, assess hazards to safety, security, privacy, and the environment, and develop metrics and thresholds for risk assessment in collaboration with stakeholders. The project will create mathematical models linking hazards to effects, define mitigation strategies using U-space services, and quantify their effectiveness. These models will be integrated into advanced U-space simulators to evaluate their applicability and relevance in the identified scenarios.
OUR ROLE
EuroUSC Italia works on improving risk models to address the negative effects of UAS operations on the ground and in the air. This includes collision risk models to better estimate the chances of UAS colliding with other UAS, manned aircraft, or impacting the ground due to operational issues. EuroUSC Italia also leads the communication, dissemination, and exploitation strategy.
